The MK-103 cannon nevertheless was heavy enough, therefore the German designers have created easier MK-108 cannon. Weight of a gun has been reduced with 143 up to б3 kg. Besides rate of shooting up to 600 shots/minutes has been increased.

It is natural, that the initial missile velocity has decreased up to 500 m/s.

The Gun shot the 320-gramme demolition shells placed at short (90-mm) the steel sleeve. Weight of a propellant charge of 27.

During operations the big number of failures of MK-108 cannon has been marked.
