Saunders-Roe Limited, also known as Saro, is a British shipping company based in Columbine Works, East Cowes, Isle of Wight. The name was adopted in 1929 after Elliott Verdon Rowe and John Lord acquired a controlling interest from the shipbuilders S.E. Saunders.
